TWISTY PUZZLES by DAVID BYRDEN

Java™ versions of twisty puzzles

A twisty puzzle is a solid regular or semiregular polyhedron made of rotating segments. Its faces are colored in various ways and by rotating the segments you can 'scramble' these colors. The fun lies in trying to twist the puzzle back to its original state.

Solid versions of Twisty Puzzles have been made by several manufacturers, under various trademarks.

Here, you can explore the Twisty concept by playing with simulated puzzles. This website was the first to provide a comprehensive selection of the puzzles. I built them in Java™, basing them all on a single geometry engine of my own design. I invented the term "Twisty Puzzle" which has become common parlance.
